He put DMV on on the map and now WALE is putting his highly anticipated album, ATTENTION DEFICIT, in stores/itunes TODAY! If his past 5 mixtapes haven't convinced you this guy is HOT then perhaps his singles "Chillin" featuring Lady Gaga and "Pretty Girls" introduced you to the fiyah. His album is a MUST COP record but for those of you who don't want to just take my word for it, check out the album HERE first. Another artist you should definitely have in your ipod is Inglewood's own SHAWN CHRYS. Paying homage to his city of residence, his album "A city with no Seasons" dropped a little while back but is still in heavy rotation in my ipod. Shawn Chrys recently went on tour with Big Sean of Good Music records and a guy named Mike Posner both of whom you should also definitely check out! Brought to my attention by the annual UCLA JAZZ REGGAE FESTIVAL, Myspace records artist MATEO has stolen my heart. His recently released album "Get to Know Me" has amazing ballads as well as well written lyrics. It is one of those albums you listen to from beginning to end.
Jarell Perry recently announced via Twitter.com that he will be releasing his mixtape "On my Own". If you haven't already, you NEED to listen to the single off the mixtape "Universal Love" which has been building buzz and anticipation for this week's release of the mixtape.
